Mosh pits at warped tour?

i really want to go to warped tour but my dads scared of the mosh pits, thinking its like a war where people beat each other up completely. He only thinks that because I went to a cradle of filth concert and this guy got really beat up, how often does that happen and specifically at warped tour? I'm 14 going with two 15 year olds and they both are huge.
